The Helping Neighbors in Need Program is a group of Northern Virginia professionals networked to provide information and assistance to local homeowners.  Our members include:

    All have one goal in mind: providing homeowners with unbiased information, and realistic options, to help them regain control of their financial situation.   


In the beginning…
    Helping Neighbors in Need was formed in 2009 as the result of a homeowner in distress seeking assistance from a friend in the real estate industry, Jerry Boutcher, a local radio talk show host and founder of several real estate related companies in Northern Virginia.  Jerry subsequently contacted several professionals in related fields: real estate attorneys, tax specialists, credit reporting experts, and bankruptcy attorneys, and was able to provide the homeowner with the information needed to resolve his situation.  Economic conditions placed numerous homeowners in similar financial positions and Jerry soon found himself getting calls from other homeowners with similar issues.  All were seeking the same thing, unbiased and reliable information so they could make educated decisions concerning their finances. 

    That was how the Helping Neighbors in Need Program began.  Over the past year it has grown substantially in scope meeting the needs of an ever-larger number of homeowners in Northern Virginia.
